Youth Competitive Tryout Registration April 13 & 19, 2025

 

This is the registration for high school students wanting to TRY OUT for the Mississauga Youth Competitive teams. Unlike high school ultimate leagues, there is no co-ed division in the regional summer tournaments for juniors. We plan on offering at least one girls team and one boys team. If we have enough people (players and coaches) to make both competitive and development teams happen, we will endeavour to do so. 

 In order to complete the registration on this page, the player must first have completed a profile with the Mississauga Ultimate Club.  Use this link to access the Create a Profile page.  Also, there are some waivers that must be signed in order to complete the registration.

A membership with MissUC is NOT required to complete this registration. There is a fee of $25 For the tryouts.  This fee covers costs required to run the tryouts only (ie. rental of the turf fields, insurance, some supplies).  

The tryouts will be held on two dates at the fields at Mentor College.  

  • The first date is from 11 am to 2 pm on Sunday, April 13th.
  • The second date to plan to attend is from 4 pm to 7 pm on Saturday April 19th. 

If you are unable to attend either date, please indicate so in the questionnaire.

If the player is successful in making the team, it is reasonable to assume that practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings in Mississauga from May to early August.

Tournaments the team are targeting to attend are Callahan for Kids in Oshawa(?) (probably late May or early June),  Ontario Regionals in Brampton(?) (two days in early July, perhaps July 4-6), and (if they qualify) Nationals in Edmonton (three dates within August 10 -17).

Players in the provincial and national tournaments are required to have been born between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2011.  However, we do accept players born after 2012 to join the team, as not all tournaments have these age requirements.
